The Beater Blade was difficult to clean, and was not any better than the standard KitchAid blade in mixing batters. I loaned it to some friends to try, and they all did not like using this product. A waste of money.I was so tired of the kitchen aid steel blades I was using. The enamel kept chipping off so I knew I needed to try something different. This blade is great. It is sturdy plastic with rubber scrapers on the outside. I barely had to stop the mixer to get all the batter off the side of the bowl. I did it once while making a cheesecake but I didn’t even need to. I would recommend this product, it’s a great invention, I wish I would have thought of it!This beater blade works great! I think I am going to purchase another to have as extra. My biggest problem with the standard beater that came with the mixer was that it didn’t scrape the sides and there was always a little bit of unmixed ingredients at the bottom of the bowl. That is no longer a problem after using this.It works really well for keeping things from sticking to the sides… I hate when flour won’t combine without constant scraping and this solves it. My only concern is that it’s made out of hard plastic with silicon scrapers I would have preferred metal like the one that comes with the mixer but so far it’s stood up well under several months of moderate use.I absoluely love this product. I was reluctant to purchase it because it didn’t seem as though KitchenAid endorsed it but I wanted to try it based on “satisfied customer” reviews. I’ve had it about a year and have not used the standard paddle attachment since. I make a lot of cakes and cookies. I don’t need to stop the mixer any more, get batter all over my hands and fingers or scrape anything down. The Beater Blade incorporates all batters and additions exceptionally well. The KitchenAid stand mixer is great, but with the addition of the Beater Blade I find I’m using the appliance more often and it’s a more enjoyable experience. And Amazon had the best price! read more.

i adore pink, and am slowly filling my house with it, starting in my kitchen with those things i need most. this can opener replaced my cheap, uncomfortable, flimsy one & is an absolute dream. Very comfortable grip. Nice thick handles. Excellent design of can opener creates very little stress on fingers, hand and wrist. Probably very good for arthritis sufferers who have a hard time gripping other can openers.I too, was not able to open a can after about 9 months. The “cuteness” of having a little set of matching gadgets was too short lived….. I’m sad and disappointed.I will admit I purchased this can opener because it is pink!… but it is also a Kitchenmaid product, which I have many of in pink, and they are always sturdy. The can opener opens cans so smoothly and with minimal effort. It is a little bulky, but that is probably a good thing since my last can opener obviously broke from being to flimsy. I would buy again… great product! Are you old enough to remember the OLD Swing-A-Way manual can openers that would ALWAYS open any can in the house? This is it. The weight and balance and cutting angle are just right. You won’t find a can — of condensed milk, peas, or fruit that this will not open perfectly. Many new can openeners have trouble if the angle is not quite right on the top or leave uncut strips on the upper surface. Or else your hand gets tired from trying to twist the crank. Not this bad boy. It really does the job and is easy to use.

I can’t recommend it highly enough.

It’s pink too! that deserves five and a half stars! read more.

We had the metal carafe version of this for a number of years. Eventually it succumbed to our high usage.

This glass version is nicer since it has a hot plate to keep the coffee warm for hours after it is brewed.

It lets you know when it is time to clean the unit with Lime Away (CALC) is shown in the display. The unit also sports a coconut charcoal insert filter for the water reservoir to remove iron and sulfur dioxide (rotten egg smell) from well water. Since we have a water softener and a sulfur dioxide filter on our well system, this feature isn’t a big deal…but still nice to have for those that may not have the best tasting water for brewing coffee. read more.

1. Don’t pay off the highest interest first, pay off the smallest amount first.

This may sound counter-intuitive but it works much better than the common thinking of paying off the highest interest first. Paying off the lowest amount works by helping to more quickly eliminate the number of cards that you have to pay off, thereby allowing you to free up more money to make larger payments on the remaining cards.

2. Replace High-Interest cards with Low-Interest Credit Cards.

Here is another moment when you have the right to question my credibility as an author. However, if you give me a moment, I am sure that I can regain your trust. Most people only look at the annual fee. In my case, the annual fee was about $120 per year. I know it seems like a lot, but my monthly interest fees went from about $65 to about $25 per month a difference of $480 a year. Even when you subtract my $120 annual fee, I was still up about $30 per month. It does not seem like much but that one simple debt reduction strategy paid my phone bill.

3. Try to secure a line of credit to pay off your Credit Card bills

This will not seem like it makes a big difference either but your credit card interest could be about 30% while the interest on a line of credit might be less than 10%. I must caution you though, if you choose this route you must stop using your credit cards except one for emergencies. If you run up your line of credit account and your credit cards again, then you will find yourself in a huge hole of debt that you might not be able to crawl out of.

product great for about 5 mins hasn t work at all since. what a ripoff.First, I have other DeLonghi products and they’re great. This one might be, too, but if you buy it from Amazon, it’ll arrive damaged. They ship it in the original packaging; this heavy piece of electronics gets bounced around enough to shatter plastic. My advice is trust Amazon with books, CDs and DVDs, but NOT big electronics. The item comes in a flimsy box that is falling apart. This results in shipping damages causing structural damage to the air conditioner. I had to rebuild the shipping carton so I could return the item. Amazon is very helpful in arranging UPS pick up and replacement. However the work involved ruins the shopping experience. I can’t believe that Amazon does not regulated shipping standards. A better box would have saved all parties a great deal of effort..This looked good “on paper” after I researched portable a/c’s.

The one I have doesn’t cool well, its being returned. I made a test where it was on for several hours, and couldn’t lower the temperature below 75, when it was only 80 out, but set to 66. I expected to freeze, not be merely comfortable. It won’t be good enough for 90+ days.

There were missing parts to connect to the window outlet (I used duct tape workarounds to test), and Delonghi said the serial number indicated it was manufactured over a year ago, and suggested it may have been returned. They seemed quite willing to send the parts…

The good; it looks made well, no cheezy parts. No signs of the water bucket filling (which seems to happen dehumidify mode only), its relatively quiet. It moves fairly easy on the rollers. With separate air intake and output hoses, it should work better (but…).

Con; no side to side adjustment for airflow. You seem to need to point the whole thing in a direction. Its very big and heavy. And it didn’t cool well, but perhaps mine was returned by someone else. The A/C unit puts out a tremendous amount of cool air and works as advertised. Previous reviews mentioned that it was noisy and that is indeed the case. However, that is a small price to pay after a hurricane has knocked out our power, the generator has been turned on, and it’s a humid 95 degrees out without a breath of wind. The price was right, too. I’m very pleased with the purchase. Setup is easy and the manufacturer quickly replaced a minor plastic part that got broken during shipping. read more.

I have had the dehumidifier for one month now and it has worked as advertised, no problems.i think it’s great because you guys that i found that have it with the pump, i have it down in my crawl space and it’s works great, the last time i got the first one was at home depot and now i cant find it anywhere so i went on line, i did get the first that was a DE500P witch i dont think you have anymore because i was looking for that one but you only had the 400 with pump so i took that one little smaller but it works great.I am considering whether to buy this product, and should address an earlier review (by someone else) about this product.

40 pints equals 5 gallons. Please measure how much space this will occupy!

The unit dimensions place the unit’s physical voume between 2 and 3 cubic feet. 1 cu. ft. of water is 7.5 gallons approximately, so the volume of the unit would indicate between 15 and 22 gallons of water. However, the unit has to house the mechanism/motor etc., so the actual cubic footage of the water holding unit MUST be less (no more than 1 cu.ft). This implies a maximum holding capacity of 7.5 gallons = 60 pints.

We want DEhumidification, so why store that much water in a pail? Since the water is being drained (via gravity or pump), the pail can be much smaller/lighter.

How much water is extracted will depend on the relative humidity indoors and ongoing external conditions (rain).

A 40-pint holding capacity unit will weigh a lot more than 30 pounds without the water!I have not received mine yet, but by all the bad reviews I regret it already. Just wanted to point out that if you bought this and the pump doesnt work or well as it should. Go to a plumbing supply and get a Little Giant condensate pump 110 volts, about the size of a shoe box, then run the discharge hose. They are reliable cost about $30, after reading all the bad pump issues I wish I would have bought the cheaper NO PUMP. Using this dehumidifer with pump is great! However, it took a little time to figure out the correct way to attach correct hose to pump. Blue cap is covering the connection for the long hose to pump water out of room. The instructions dont tell you that. They say to drill hole in bucket for allowing water to go down drain. If you want to use pump, do not drill!

In the month that has gone by it is working great! read more.

I bought a DeLonghi HHP 1500 space heater last winter and was pleased with the purchase. However, the DeLonghi HHP800 space heater I purchased this year is considerably smaller and provides far less heat than that purchased last year for seemingly the same price. Too, I like the look of the black model more so than the new white one. Recommend one stick w/ the HHP1500 to get more bang for their buck (though I don’t actually know what that one is selling for these days). This was an instance where I would have been better off buying at a “brick & mortar” store. There I would have recognized the difference as opposed to doing insufficient research and pulling the trigger on-line. Got this for our bathroom because the description says “it even works well in a bathroom thanks to its water-splash protection and GFI safety plug.” Package arrived, but the box and instructions says nothing about this, and in fact says not to use around such fixtures, etc. Perhaps it is only good for bathrooms that don’t have any fixtures. I bought this heater for my bedroom (15×24) and it works perfectly. The first couple of nights I was so warm I had to get up to turn it down. The 6 thermosat settings work very well. I love that it is silent – but of course that also means that it does not heat the room quickly (takes about 30-60 minutes). My wife now moves this heater to her office each day to stay warm. I would definitely recommend this heater to anyone looking to efficiently heat a room in their home.I bought this for my office (10′x12′) It is cold sitting here by the window. This heater works really well. It make a slight crackle noise when it turns on or changes heating cycles. Ilove the fact that it is almost completely silent.

Also, It does have a slight smell the first time it turns on and heats up. I’ve read other reviews about these types of heaters and posters suggested doing the first heat cycle in a well ventelated area. I just turned it on in my office and it did have that new electronic heater smell, however it went away after a short period of time. I think it was money well spent. read more.

However, because most creditors only want to make their money back, it is possible to negotiate payment plans, as well as seek help from them to get out of debt. It is important that you know how to approach a creditor, and that you thoroughly understand to what extent you are in debt. A creditor will not try to help you get out of debt if you simply say “I want to get out of debt.” You need to understand where your debt has come from, as well as how you plan to get out of debt.

The first thing you need to do is be reasonable with your debt. It is highly unlikely that a creditor to who you owe $15,000 is going want to lower your payments to such a point that it is going to take you years to pay back. However, if you are reasonable about the whole situation, your creditor may be willing to make some exceptions. For example, if you are able to pay back $8,000 of the debt, the creditor may be willing to lower your payment then. The key to good negotiations is to be upfront and honest about your situation. You also must be willing to negotiate yourself. You can’t just expect the creditor to agree with you about everything, you must be willing to find a solutions that is perfect for everyone; you and the creditor.

It may be to your advantage if you seek the help of a professional to deal with your debt situation. The process of negotiating your debt can become confusing and difficult, and for most people the negotiations do not go the way they want. Even though a professional debt help company and a financial advisor will cost you some money, it is important to remember that the money you are spending, is pocket change to the money you will be saving in the long run. A professional advisor can teach you some tricks and give you hints on negotiating lower debt payments.

It is extremely important that you explain your credit situation correctly. You will need to know the nature of your debt, and how it can affect negotiations, and for that matter, how negotiations will affect it. For example, you can’t expect a creditor to lower your debt if you have bad credit. You have already showed poor money management skills which most likely got you into the situation you are in. By understanding how certain things, mainly your credit score, will affect the negotiation process, you are able present your case clearly and truthfully to the creditor, who is more willing to help you get out of debt. Just to touch on your credit score once again, it is extremely, utterly important that you maintain a strong credit score even in times of debt. If you don’t a creditor will use your credit score against you and will refuse to help you.
